Supervision

Supervision is a vital space in which to reflect and rejuvenate your practice - a supportive resource for you and a place to develop your skills, ability and knowledge. Secure supervision enables ethical dilemmas to be explored and ensures a quality service for you and your clients.

Whatever may affect your work as a counsellor, it is worthy of acknowledgement and discussion within our supervisory relationship. The quality of our relationship is of paramount importance. As a counsellor and supervisor I use Clarkson's 5-relationship model - a humanistic stance which includes and values the working alliance, transference issues (including parallel processes in supervision) and the developmentally-needed relationship to learn and grow. I hope that by being fully present with you, we may find a mutual place to meet and explore your work - a place of learning and sometimes not knowing, somewhere for humour and sadness too. Regular reviews will help ensure you are receiving the supervision you need.

My intention is that the supervision I provide will be a safe place for you to bring your work without fear of shame to acknowledge difficulties, but celebrate too. A supportive and learning relationship which adds potency to you and your practice.

Supervision takes place in Gandy Street, Exeter at £35 for 1 hour, or
£50 for 1.5 hours.
